Judi Simms Paralegal Professional Corporation was established in 1994. There are currently six people on staff, including one fully licensed immigration consultant/paralegal, and other support staff. This is a large, well-established practice in the Toronto area with associates worldwide. We also have associations with agencies in Romania, Moldavia, Hungary and Iran, as well as various recruiting agencies across Canada to help facilitate those clients who are seeking employment in Canada.
We have contacts within various educational facilities within Canada and abroad to help foreign students with placements.
We offer settlement services to a limited degree.
We cover the full spectrum of legal services with 27 years of experience as of Feb 2021. We deal in Immigration while our paralegals are engaged in other areas of practice. Most recently we have been developing other areas of business such as corporate mediation.
Toronto paralegal, Judi Simms, is a full member of ICCRC and was previously a full member of the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants, during their tenure as regulator. She is also a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, holds a Masters Degree in English, was an experienced teacher and small business owner before becoming a Certified Paralegal in 1994. Judi has had extensive experience as a mediator and negotiator, has appeared before numerous Immigration and Refugee Board Tribunals, and various other Courts and Tribunals to represent the interests of her clients and also received her certification in Alternative Dispute Resolution through the University of Windsor Law School in 2000 and continues to upgrade her academic credentials with seminars/courses offered by various groups and institutions in her areas of practice.
The other staff members are also involved in various facets of the legal business and are very proficient in all areas of practice. Some of these practices include Small Claims, Landlord and Tenant matters, Personal Injury (within the scope), Accident Benefits, Contract mediation and Mediation and more paralegal services in Toronto.
